What is a Fanlisting?

A fanlisting is a listing of fans of a particular show, character, person, thing etc. This particular fanlisting is for fans of the relationship of Ichijouji Ken and Inoue Miyako of Digimon 02 fame.

Ichijouji Ken?

Ken was introduced on Digimon 02 as the main antagonist, the Digimon Kaiser. As the story progressed, it's revealed that Ken was actually being manipulated by a dark spore that was implanted in the back of his neck when his was young (Ick and owchies all around.), and is in fact the Chosen Child of Kindness. Regular Ken is a sweet, shy and soft spoken boy, who has trouble expressing how he feels most of the time. His digimon partner is Wormmon, a virus digimon that is beyond loyal.

Inoue Miyako?

Miyako is arguably the starring female in Digimon 02, and is initially revealed to be the next Chosen Child of Love. She's highly emotional, and a computer expert. The youngest of four, she's a little spoiled, but also highly empathetic. Early in the series, she makes a vow to be more honest with herself, and this new ideal grants her the additional title of Chosen Child of Purity. Miyako is very honest with herself and others in the series, basing all her decisions on her emotions. Her digimon partner is Hawkmon, a vaccine digimon who's of note not just for his very mature manner, but for also being the first ever digimon partner who was not the same gender as his human companion.

Why Complimentary?

Yes, it is canon that Ken and Miyako marry at the end of the series, but the main reason this fandom is in existence is how they interact in the series, and how their personalities work against each other. Regardless of what some say, they really aren't opposites. That would imply they have nothing in common, which they do. It's just that key elements of their core personalties balance each other. Where Ken is shy, Miyako is social. Where Miyako is impatient, Ken is calm. Where Ken doubts, Miyako is confident, and vice versa in some cases. It's these complimentary traits that make them so interesting, and why I personally love their relationship.
